    This wine produced in the region of Fronton which is near Toulouse, and comprised of Negrette, (to which nearly half of Fronton is planted) Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon, is meaty and full but with just enough ripe fruit to level out the earth and tannic structure. Deeply extracted in the glass the wine shows a gorgeous dark purple colour, the nose is all dark fruit and dried herbs, the palate is firm, full and assertive.     This Grand Cuvee Prestige sees a 20-day fermentation period, after which aging takes place in oak barrels, a fifth of which is new each year. The 3,000 case production is bottled unfiltered. This blend of 90% Malbec and 10% Tannat shows a deep purple color. Lots of vanilla on the nose buttresses substantial dark fruit. Medium to full-body. Plenty of ripe blackberry fruit on the palate, along with a hint of licorice. Fine tannin is extremely well-integrated on the finish.
