South Africa

South Africa
Perhaps an underappreciated region in terms of the quality of wine produced, South African wines have seen record break harvests and exports give their wine trade a real boost over the past couple of years. Visiting wine writers are increasingly noting the improving quality and distinctive South African wines becoming available including the signature red grape of the region, Pinotage. As more and more enthusiastic young winemakers join the trade, South Africa will continue to increase its foothold in the world wine market.
