Argentina

Argentina

Argentinian wine has been in production since the 19th century, but can attribute its current success to a much greater uptake of their wines in the last 20 years or so. Malbec is the grape most often associated with this South American country – juicy, complex, and perfumed when at its best. Bonarda red wines and Torrontes white wines make up the big three triumvirate, but wines from Argentina have grown to include fine examples made from other grapes.

Our Argentinian wine producers are helmed by a new generation of ambitious and gifted winemakers, their aim, to make wines with the purest expressions of terroir exploiting the vast array of soils and microclimates in this ever-progressing wine producing nation.

  2. Malbec, Santa Florentina

A classic full-bodied Malbec with an inviting deep garnet shade and excellent brightness and clarity. The attractive colouring is matched by an intense nose that suggests plummy red fruit and nuts. This is then followed by a rounded and silky palate and persistent finish.

  3. Malbec Reserve, Raza
    Rating:
    80% of 100

With deep violet colours and ruby hues, this Malbec Reserve is one to be savoured slowly and admired in the glass. Aromas of red and black fruit, most notably plums and cherries predominate the nose. Meanwhile, the palate is heavily influenced by the oak in which the wine has matured. The bouquet is also heavily influenced by the oak ageing with vanilla, dark chocolate and tobacco all present and adding complex layers to this fantastic wine.
