Taittinger Millesime, Vintage Champagne, 2009
Taittinger Brut Millésimé 2009 is a blend of grapes exclusively from the first pressing and is aged for 4 years. It consists of Chardonnay from the 'Grand Crus' of the Cöte des Blancs and Pinot Noir from the 'Grand Crus' of the Montagne de Reims and the start of the Vallée de la Marne.
After a harsh winter with snow and severe frosts, 2009 continued with milder weather in spring followed by a good summer. A dry and hot August ensured the grapes ripe and in good health.Learn More
On the nose there are yeasty bread aromas that give way to a sweeter fruity scent. On the palate, hints of lemon and mandarin are present that lead to a slighty honeyed mid-palate. The finish is exceptionally long and generous with abundance of more fresh and rich fruits. The 2009 vintage is ready to drink now but given some time the maturity will only add to the flavours.£55.00

Taittinger 'Comtes de Champagne' Blanc de Blancs, 2006
A powerful, refined, expressive and complex Champagne, with notes of citrus fruits, lime blossom and caramelised grapefruit. The long, rich ending reveals sweet licorice aromas.
Produced only in exceptional vintage years and intended as the ultimate expression of the Taittinger style, this wine is composed entirely of Chardonnay grapes grown in the top vineyards of the prestigious Côte des Blancs. Only the first press juice is used. A small proportion (5%) of the blend spends three to four months in new oak barrels, enhancing the intrinsic qualities of the final blend. Prior to disgorgement, the Blanc de Blancs is aged for 10 years on the lees in 13th-century chalk cellars that were once the property of Saint Nicaise abbey.
Of the 280 wines entered into the 2016 Sparkling Drinks Masters the 2006 vintage was awarded 'Master' - the only one to recieve the highest accolade in the whole competition.Learn More£125.00
