At that time, rosé wines were predominant and today's prestige surrounding the delicacy of Saumur Champigny had not yet been fully acknowledged. As a lover of these light red wines with berry flavours, Paul Filliatreau devoted all his time to producing them.
To make these flavours appreciated by the public, he travelled all over France. Today, wine lovers seek out "Saumur Champigny wines" from the Filliatreau Estate.
