A port wine that is lighter than a Ruby port. Rose pink in colour due to limited contact with the traditional Douro grape varieties during it's vinification. This innovative rosé port wine is light and very fruity. Best served chilled, it is also delicious as a dessert wine.

Caves Messias
Caves Messias is a historic family owned producer renowned for their colheita and vintage ports. Founded in 1926 by Messias Baptista, the company has remained a family owned business up to the present day. The most famous estate is Quinta do Cachão which has its slopes adjacent to the River Douro, in the sub region Cima Corgo. The vineyard was first planted in 1845 by the Baron Pebble sendomais and later acquired by family Afonso Cabral, who in turn sold it to Messiah family in 1956. In order to increase production capacity, Messias acquired another adjoining property, Quinta do Rei, then belonging Gonzales Byass.

Douro
Douro is one of the key Portuguese wine regions, producing both the world-famous fortified Port wine along with a wide range of standard non-fortified wines. The dry, continental climate and steep terraced vineyards centred in the Douro river valley make the region an ideal holiday destination as well as wine producing region! The style of wines made in the region varies greatly, but the best value is to be found in the unctuous red wines made from local grape varieties.
