Reserve Familiale Cognac Grande Champagne, Daniel Bouju
In the heart of the Grande Champagne area lies the Daniel Bouju distillery in the village of Saint Preuil. This family-run domaine covers 14 hectares and is proudly independent from the big Cognac houses. Its Cognac is made using very small 16 hectolitre stills, which result in a final spirit of intense fruity notes.
Reserve Familiale uses the oldest stocks available at Daniel Bouju. Made exclusively using grapes grown in Grande Champagne, this rich and complex sipping spirit is matured in Limousin oak casks, with a natural abv of 42%. Unfiltered and with exceptional length on the palate, the rancio Charentais taste is complex and enriched by fruity scents. It's a truly extraordinary Cognac from the oldest reserves, carefully preserved by the family for generations.
