Poire William with fruit, Hepp
This special Eau de Vie from Distillerie Hepp boasts a nose of sweet pears but is supported by pretty floral notes and sweet spices. Very juicy to taste, with a slight touch of bitterness, complimented with a nice balance between sugar and acidity.
The Prisoner Pear Jugs that encase the pear are traditionally handmade. In spring, the carafes are hung on pear trees while the fruit ripens and grows inside the bottle. At harvest in August / September, sorting is done in order to select the best fruit, then the decanters are rinsed with water and filled with pear brandy.

Uberach's heritage is based on the quality and reputation of its eaux-de-vie, liqueurs and Alsatian Whiskey. The family HEPP, is part of this local heritage, because for several generations, the family continues its know-how of quality spirits and liqueurs. Now run by a father and son duo, the distillery has three stills with a capacity of 450 litres each.
