Montepulciano d'Abruzzo, Rocca Vineyard, 2018
A lively red colour with purplish nuances. Vinous, fruity character with remarkable notes of berries. Velvety and harmonic taste, aromatic with a good final persistence. A perfect wine for pasta.
At the end of XIX century, Francesco Rocca started his historical business by selling loose wine. In 1936 his son Angelo enhanced the wine production and built a cellar in Nardò, Apulia. In the 1960's the first bottling line was bought and thus started the distribution of products under the Rocca brand. Today, Ernesto Rocca (the founder's grandson) shares responsibility with his sons Paolo, Marco, Luca and Matteo who help run the family business, a business which also includes a construction company and a leading trot horse stud farm.
