The recipe for this product has evolved as techniques have developed -- about 15 years ago, it was made with Blackcurrant Cream using macerated blackberries. This technique did not bring out the fruit's true flavours.     Pistachios are crushed into a paste then mixed with Grappa, water and sugar to create a “round, velvety liqueur with an intense inebriating aroma of Sicilian pistachios”. 

    Quite delicious on its own with a cube of ice, but it also makes an excellent accompaniment for pastries and ice creams, and as an ingredient for cocktails.
