  • The Echlinville Irish Pot Still Gin

From the Lecale Peninsula in Northern Ireland comes the country’s first premium single-estate pot still gin. Echlinville Distillery grow the barley used for the base spirit on the estate and it's malted on a farm close by. To give it a unique flavour they've chosen local botanicals, such as gorse bush petals and Strangford Lough seaweed. The result is a gin with the essence of the land and sea.

If you prefer a gin cocktail then try it with elderflower tonic, a slice of lemon and a sprig of mint, as Echlinville suggest, or just sip it neat. There’s a hint of the homegrown barley on the nose along with fresh floral and citrus notes. While in the mouth the gin has anise and lavender flavours that make way for juniper and coriander notes. Sweetness carries on throughout, with a malt character and creamy mouth-feel seldom found in modern gins.

  • Dunvilles VR Single Malt 10 year old Irish Whiskey

After the success of the very modern Feckin' Irish Whiskey brand, Northern Irishman Shane Braniff of Echlinville Distillery was inspired to draw on a little heritage, so he bought the rights to the famous old Dunville's brand.

There are over 100 years of, sometimes turbulent, history in the family owned distillery (and tea importer). The VR 10-year-old has been their most popular whiskey, launched in 1837 and named after Queen Victoria, when she ascended the throne. Unfortunately, Dunville & Co. was liquidated in 1936 due, in part, to family tragedies and Prohibition in the USA.

The 10-year-old is a very intriguing release, with plenty of orchard fruit, custard and old fashioned sweetie notes. It was crowned Best Irish Single Malt Under 12 Years at the 2015 World Whiskies Awards and was honoured with this accolade again in the 2016 Awards.

WORLD WHISKY AWARDS 2015 and 2016 - Winner of the Best Irish Single Malt in category '12 Years and Under'

With a complexity seldom found in such a delicate Single Malt, this expression is worthy of its Royal Ancestral past, this legendary whiskey will once again take its rightful place amongst the premier whiskeys of the world. - 2015

The nose is sweet and varied with cake spices, dried apple, poached clementines, vanilla and gentle, toasted oak. The palate is thick and spicy with sandalwood, musky spice, nutmeg and all-spice, vanilla and some citrus pith. Juicy and pleasant on the finish with some lingering wood. - 2016

  • Dalmore Vintage 2006 Highland Single Malt Whisky

Matured originally in first fill distillery run bourbon barrels then transferred into specially selected Beam bourbon barrels for two years. The result is a softer, gentler floral whisky. Seductive and enticing aromas of lemon grass, Manuka honey, vanilla pod and toffee apple flaunt themselves in an elegant manner before a wave of ripe grapefruit, Cape gooseberries, freshly cut flowers and tangs of Ylang Ylang. The palate features ripe orchard fruits, Turkish Delight, moist lemon drizzle cake with banana bread taking centre stage. Learn More
  • Bas-Armagnac L'Authentique, Delord

The Delord Authentique is a blend of very old Armagnacs selected from different barrels that represent the most typical vintages from the Delord distillery.

It is an Armagnac with great complexity, combining aromas of vanilla, roasted coffee, cocoa, candied fruit and spices. In the mouth it is complex with vanilla, woody and roasted flavours, and notes of prune, walnut and dried fruits. Goes well with pear and almond cake.

Handsomely presented in a hinged wooden box.

  • Rum of Martinique, JM Brut de Fut

Aged 100% in re-charred Bourbon barrels, the explosion on your mouth's sensory is matchless.

Pure Rhum Agricole is delicately aged in re-charred Bourbon barrels and allowed to naturally reduce and bottled at "cask strength" creating a boldly flavoured single vintage aged rhum with tremendous body, redolent of crushed walnuts and pecans, pecan pie and brown sugar. The flavours are more sophisticated, with notes of saddle leather, old wood and tobacco joining the subtle sweetness.
