  • Clos Fornelli Rose, Corsica

A perfect example of what Corsican wines can achieve. Attractively perfumed, with spicy and exotic notes. Full bodied yet light in colour.

Sciacarello is a dark-skinned grape variety found mostly on the island of Corsica. The variety is used to make both varietal wines and blends in both red and rosé variants. Sciaccarello-based wines are lightly coloured with moderate, soft tannins, red fruit characters and an unmistakable herby, peppery note.

  • Domaine Lafond Tavel Rose Roc-Epine

One of the most full-bodied rose's, Tavel is primarily based on Grenache. It's full body and mellow mouthfeel make it an ideal companion to turkey or ham. The bouquet reminds of strawberry and cassis with notes of herbs and "garrigue" (the smell of herbs/underbrush/citrus that dominates the air in the south of France).

"A delicate coppery pink rosé that's exuberantly spicy, with crunchy redcurrant fruit. A mineral twist unfolds onto biscuit and peppery flavours. There's pleasant tannins on the finish and the concentration to improve over a few months." Drink 2016-2017. Score 90. (2015 vintage)  - Decanter Magazine September 2017
