  • La Fleur de Haut Bages Liberal Pauillac

Château Haut-Bages Liberal keeps great company in the Bordeaux appellation of Pauillac: 3 of the 5 premier cru châteaux of Bordeaux are neighbours: Latour, Lafite Rothschild and Mouton Rothschild.

The wines of Pauillac are often considered the quintessence of Bordeaux wines and this 2012 vintage is a classic with a complex nose of cassis, smoke and cedar. There is sumptuous fruit in the mouth with additional slightly spicy touch. The wine is expressive, sensual, with fine tannins, freshness and a lingering aroma.

  • Chateau Haut Coteau Saint Estephe

This is the first wine of Chateau Haut Coteau, a family property since 1908, owned by the Brousseau family who have a clear passion for the solid and robust terroirs and wines of Saint Estephe. They work the vineyard in a traditional way, with mechanical plowing, green work, little chemicals and manual harvesting.

It is a wonderfully sumptuous Bordeaux with rich aromas of cassis and elderberry, which are particularly intense during this peak year. After a long finish, the tannins are perfectly integrated.

  • Chateau Dalem, Fronsac

Medium bodied with plenty of very fine, grippy tannin, medium acid, flavours of dark cherry, cacao and licorice flow into a fresh, medium length finish. Good right-bank character. Oak is evident but under control and integrates nicely. Pure bottled pleasure.

Chateau Dalem is best served relatively cool (about 15 degrees) which gives the wine more freshness and lift. Young vintages can be decanted for up to 1 hour. This allows the wine to soften and open its perfume.

  • Amarone Classico, Lenotti Estate

Gold medal winner, rich, classic and chocolately nose, with good balance and well defined fruit on the palate. Very impressive Corvina. Dense black fruits; palate displays excellent weight, structure, intensity of rich, chocolaty fruit through to a very long finish. Drinking very well now and over the next 7 years.

"A wine that is admirably pieced together with sour cherries and plums and clove and aniseed spice coming through underneath. Drink 2018-2021. 87 Points. Decanter Magazine Amarone Panel Tasting, May 2017 (2011 vintage)

  • Domaine Courbis Saint Joseph Les Royes

The Les Royes Rouge is aged 100% in barrels. After 12-14 months in cask, the wine is assembled and aged for 3 additional months before bottling. Profound and complex wine with sweet black cherry-raspberry frui. Notes of minerals and smoke, and ripe tannins that give it remarkable structure. Learn More

  • Domaine Edmond Cornu et Fils Savigny les Beaune

Less rustic and more elegant than the Chorey; a touch less colour but explosive cherry fruit on nose and in flavour; spice gives added complexity. Learn More
  • Chateau Brondelle Graves 150cl Magnum

One of the great wines of Bordeaux and from its oldest Chateau with 2 stars in the "Guide Hachette". A deep dark red colour with an intense bouquet and distinctive rich fruit. Agreeable, fresh toasted effect on the palate with hints of strawberry. Learn More
  • Chateau Tour Pibran Pauillac

This is the second wine of Chateau Pibran but it's made with exactly the same care and attention as the Grand Vin. Not only that, it's produced by the same team that makes the prestigious Chateau Pichon Baron, then moved in barrel for ageing at Chateau Pibran.

Intense, deep purple colour. Delicate hints of red fruit including strawberries and cherry. Noticeable but smooth tannins give the wine excellent balance, and a touch of minerality brings a real vibrancy to the wine. Enjoyable now, but also ideal for laying down.
