  • Taittinger Millesime, Vintage Champagne

The colour of the Taittinger Brut Millésimé is a shimmering golden yellow. The effervescence is frank with an abundant rise of bubbles. The nose reveals a beautiful aromatic intensity. After the first floral notes, in which we can make out a hint of honeysuckle, come riper fruity and generous fragrances of raisins and hot and honeyed fruits such as greengage plums. The attack is fresh with an indulgent quality reminiscent of the flavour of syrupy preserved fruits. On the palate, unctuosity and suppleness complete the qualities of balance and richness. A real finesse becomes apparent in an aftertaste that is also long and complex. Learn More

  • Taittinger 'Comtes de Champagne' Blanc de Blancs

    1 Review(s)

A powerful, refined, expressive and complex Champagne, with notes of citrus fruits, lime blossom and caramelised grapefruit. The long, rich ending reveals sweet licorice aromas.

Produced only in exceptional vintage years and intended as the ultimate expression of the Taittinger style, this wine is composed entirely of Chardonnay grapes grown in the top vineyards of the prestigious Côte des Blancs. Only the first press juice is used. A small proportion (5%) of the blend spends three to four months in new oak barrels, enhancing the intrinsic qualities of the final blend. Prior to disgorgement, the Blanc de Blancs is aged for 10 years on the lees in 13th-century chalk cellars that were once the property of Saint Nicaise abbey.

Of the 280 wines entered into the 2016 Sparkling Drinks Masters the 2006 vintage was awarded 'Master' -  the only one to recieve the highest accolade in the whole competition.
