  • Chateau Andrea, Graves

Graves, in Bordeaux, is reputedly the oldest vine growing region in the country and benefits not only from coarse gravel typical of the area, which stores heat from the sun in the day to keep the vines warmer at night. But also from large pine forests that protect the vineyards and the river Garonne to the east, which acts as a thermal regulator.

Smooth and silky in the mouth with soft tannins and long finish. Délicieux!

  • Valpolicella Classico Ripasso, Lenotti Estate

    1 Review(s)
The Lenotti ‘Le Crosare’ Valpolicella Ripasso is the result of the highest quality Corvina, Rondinella and Molinara grape varieties, coming from the classic area of Valpolicella north of Verona. The winemaking process has a brief “ripasso” (re-passing) on the grape skins of the Amarone which gives this red extra body and flavour.

It is a well-structured wine, intense ruby red colour with a bouquet that is fine and intense. Dry and savoury in the mouth it is full bodied and velvety. Drinking very well now although it has the potential to improve if cellared 4-5 years after harvest. Highly recommend by the Le Bon Vin team. Learn More

  • Castello di Verrazzano, Chianti Classico DOCG

Verrazzano's Chianti Classico, like others in the Greve area of Chianti have typically more concentrated flavours than in Castellina, Gaiole or Castelnuovo Berardegna. However, this is a classic Chianti, deep ruby red in colour with aromas of mature fruits like cherry and blackberry. Light in body with a little oak (from 18 months in barrel) with fine grained tannins and pleasant bursts of juicy wild cherry, cinnamon and a hint of star anise.

An Organic wine that pairs well with Tuscan appetisers, red meat and game.
