  6. Pink Gin, English Drinks Company
    Rating:
    100% of 100

Distilled in exactly the same way as The English Drinks Co. award-winning Cucumber Gin, Pink Gin follows their ideals of only producing products that look and taste excellent. Like the Cucumber Gin, the finish is very smooth and rounded but uses Cinchona Bark for the slightly aromatic taste and pomegranate for its delicate shade. The result is a stunning gin that is very smooth on the palate.

It also has a personal connection to the owner of the English Drinks Co. as pink gin is thought to have been made fashionable by the Royal Navy back in the 1800’s, with the addition of Angostura bitters as an aid to sea sickness. His father was a naval officer so it was fitting to resurrect such an old tradition but with a modern twist.

Produced by Caves da Montanha, a family business with over seven decades of history and extensive experience in the distillation of spirits. It is floral and fruity with citrus notes of orange blossom and tropical fruit nuances, think passion fruit, mango and papaya.
