Chateau Etang des Colombes Corbieres Vieilles Vignes, 2017
An excellent colour, this wine shows a full, spicy-fruity nose, and a creamy, clean, soft palate with hints of cherries, raspberries, and vanilla. Aged in oak for eight months.
Chateau Etang des Colombes
Situated in the heart of the Corbières region, the Château Etang des Colombes produces AOP Corbières, Vin de Pays d'Oc and varietal wines. The domain covers 77 ha of vineyard on pebbly, clay-chalk soil, with the majority of parcels facing due south.
The Chateau grows the traditional Corbières appellation grape varieties - Syrah, Grenache, Carignan and Mourvedre. As well as a range of our Corbières wines they also produce Vins de Pays d'Oc wines using Viognier and Grenache grapes.
The consistent quality of their wines over the last 25 years and more has earned their Corbières wines a place amongst the best in the AOC.

Languedoc-Roussillon
Stretching over a substantial area of land from the Massif Central to the eastern edges of the Pyrenees, the Languedoc Roussillon wine region is an amalgamation of different types of terrain, altitude, and terroir producing a wide range of quality wines since Roman times. The soils and climate of the area combine to make an ideal environment for vine growing, which is why the Languedoc Roussillon wine region accounts for about 40% of France’s total wine production. Because of this, there are many hidden gems to be found in this region from Vin de Pays producers as well as the more renowned AOC chateaux.
