This AOP wine of beautiful ruby-red colour exhibits an intense nose of ripe black fruits (black cherry, blackcurrant), plums, and spice. Powerful but rounded in the mouth, the soft tannic palate pairs perfectly with poultry, game, pâté, soft cheese, and blue cheese.

Chateau Auzias are producing some of the finest wines in the Carcassonne area of the Languedoc, with a history dating as far back as the 12th century. Cultivated in argilo-calcaire (clay-limestone) soil, the wines take on a unique regional characteristic and benefit from the lutte raisonée method – a blend of organic and conventional farming. One of the top châteaux in Cabardès, Domaine Auzias is nestled at the foot of the imposing Montagne Noire.
Today, Nathalie and Dominique Auzias, surrounded by their four children, keep the traditions of the domain alive and continue to improve the wines by restructuring the vineyard and redeveloping the cellars.
