Camille Cayran La Reserve Cairanne Cotes du Rhone Villages, 2018
This Côtes du Rhône Villages wine is a very stylish blend of Syrah, Grenache, Mourvèdre and Carignan which has concentrated aromas of black cherry, cassis and spices on the nose following on to a full-bodied palate. The juicy fruit core and firm but ripe tannins provide support and a long, lingering velvety finish reveals complexity of wild herbs and cinnamon.
The perfect companion to lamb chops with thyme or aged cheeses.

Rhone
The mighty Rhone River that cuts through the French countryside and lends it name to this auspicious wine region is the uniting force of the great tracts of farmland and vineyards either side of it. Some of the oldest vineyards in France decorate the valley, and the Rhone wine region produces quality wines that can compete with some of the finest Bordeaux and Burgundy wines on the market. It was not always this way however, and as the world catches up to the true richness available in Rhone wines, there are some excellent value wines to be found.
