Trebbiano Puglia, Rocca Estate
- Buy 2 for £7.95 each and save 6%
Under various different names and guises, Trebbiano is one of Europe's most extensively planted white grape varieties, found in innumerable blends and styles, but it is generally only the Italians who use it to make this kind of single-varietal dry white.
Angelo Rocca's Trebbiano is a great example of the variety with floral notes and almond aromas following through to a dry, soft-edged palate with well balanced acidity.
Enjoy well-chilled with creamy pasta dishes and salads or simply on its own as aperitif!
Angelo Rocca
At the end of XIX century, Francesco Rocca started his historical business by selling loose wine. In 1936 his son Angelo enhanced the wine production and built a cellar in Nardò, Apulia. In the 1960's the first bottling line was bought and thus started the distribution of products under the Rocca brand. Today, Ernesto Rocca (the founder's grandson) shares responsibility with his sons Paolo, Marco, Luca and Matteo who help run the family business, a business which also includes a construction company and a leading trot horse stud farm.
