Garnet/red gradually paling to a mature brick red. Developed nose of redcurrants and black cherry with notes of charred oak - delicate and mature but not tired. Medium bodied with rich, spicy blackcurrant, tobacco and cedar flavours; wonderful citrus acidity; great length and a peppery, tangy oak finish.
Domaine George Lignier
The original domaine was founded in 1850 and carried on in the family. The current proprietor is Georges Lignier. The vineyards comprise 15 Hectares, with production at 5,000 cases per annum. Grand Cru's are all aged in new oak. Aging of the wines is approximately 18 months in barrels, with the older barrels used for 1er Cru and village appellations.
