Angelo Rocca
At the end of XIX century, Francesco Rocca started his historical business by selling loose wine. In 1936 his son Angelo enhanced the wine production and built a cellar in Nardò, Apulia. In the 1960's the first bottling line was bought and thus started the distribution of products under the Rocca brand. Today, Ernesto Rocca (the founder's grandson) shares responsibility with his sons Paolo, Marco, Luca and Matteo who help run the family business, a business which also includes a construction company and a leading trot horse stud farm.

Puglia

Tucked in the heel of Italy’s boot, so to speak, the regions’ naturally warm climate is somewhat cooled by the sea winds blowing in from the Adriatic and Ionian seas, creating the ideal climate for producing hearty, satisfying reds. The Primitivo and Negroamaro grapes fare particularly well here, producing wines that are at once dark and slightly bitter, but still supple and aromatic.
