Domaine de Cray
Domaine de Cray produces a wide range of wines from dry to sweet and white to red. Apart from Chenin Blanc grapes it also grows Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Gamay and Cabernet Sauvignon. The focus is however on the white wines and the calcareous clay soil gives the wines acid and character that is so typical of the Loire.
When Antoine completed his studies at the University of Bordeaux, he went to New Zealand to learn more about modern wine making practices. Antoine then returned to the Loire to take over the vineyard and is currently a very dynamic winemaker, renowned for prestigious wines that have won awards both nationally and internationally.
