Domaine Auzias Montagne Noire IGP Carcassonne

The blend of Merlot, Grenache, and Cabernet grapes in this IGP wine give a rich purple colour - almost garnet – and a ripe red-fruit nose with notes of currants with floral nuances of violet. Exhibiting the best of the Languedoc region, this wine is powerful and rich yet retains delicacy and freshness. Silky and smooth, it pairs well with any poultry or grilled meat, and stands up well to spicy food or charcuterie.

Chateau Auzias
Chateau Auzias are producing some of the finest wines in the Carcassonne area of the Languedoc, with a history dating as far back as the 12th century. Cultivated in argilo-calcaire (clay-limestone) soil, the wines take on a unique regional characteristic and benefit from the lutte raisonée method – a blend of organic and conventional farming. One of the top châteaux in Cabardès, Domaine Auzias is nestled at the foot of the imposing Montagne Noire.
Today, Nathalie and Dominique Auzias, surrounded by their four children, keep the traditions of the domain alive and continue to improve the wines by restructuring the vineyard and redeveloping the cellars.
