Chateau Etang des Colombes Corbieres, 2020
In the heart of the Corbières region, Château Etang des Colombes produces wines made from the traditional grape varieties of the area: Syrah, Grenache, Carignan and Mourvèdre. Harvested by hand by the champion of the Corbieres region, Henri Gualco and his son Christopher. The Rouge Tradition has a powerful yet elegant nose with notes of spices and red fruits. Smooth, persistent tannins in the mouth reflect the complexity of this wine which I round, soft and full with a lengthy finish.

Languedoc-Roussillon
Stretching over a substantial area of land from the Massif Central to the eastern edges of the Pyrenees, the Languedoc Roussillon wine region is an amalgamation of different types of terrain, altitude, and terroir producing a wide range of quality wines since Roman times. The soils and climate of the area combine to make an ideal environment for vine growing, which is why the Languedoc Roussillon wine region accounts for about 40% of France’s total wine production. Because of this, there are many hidden gems to be found in this region from Vin de Pays producers as well as the more renowned AOC chateaux.
