Chateau de Passavant
Château de Passavant was built by Foulques Nerra in the 12th Century, on a site that has long been fortified, overlooking the River Layon, whose slopes are well known for their great wines. The Château de Passavant is located South Anjou in the Haut-Layon area, where the river with the same name springs up, the vineyard stretches out over 55 hectares and has been organic since 1998 and biodynamic since 2011. Claire & Olivier Lecomte and François David have been managing the estate since 1993. They are the fourth generation of vine-growers managing the family vineyards.
