Chateau les Ormes is part of the prestigious vineyards of the Saint-Julien appellation. With a terroir similar to the well known Chateau de Beychevelle, the wines of this small family property of twelve hectares are highly sought after by wine lovers. From one of the rare estates in Saint-Julien that is not a classed growth this wine is aged in barrels, 30% of which are new. The nose is expressive and complex with aromas of black cherries with toasted notes. Smooth on the attack, its tannins are dense and silky. The palate is solid, tannic, pure and straight. Black fruits, blackberries and liquorice characterize this wine.
