Tasting Notes

This wine is made near the historic Southern French city of Carcassonne, and it bears a kinship to the Cabernet and Merlot based Bordeaux wines. Dark garnet in colour, it shows light blueberry and spicy oak aromas. Fresh on the palate, juicy cherry-berry fruit, good structure.

Other Notes

Built under Louis XIII, this superb Chateau is located at the entry of the village of Pennautier. The vineyard climbs the sides of the sunny and rocky slopes of the south of the Black Mountain, from an altitude of between 200 to 400m. Exposed to the south, the vines profit from all day sun. An entirely renovated Wine storehouse with concrete tanks makes it possible to associate the modern techniques of wine making.
