Tasting Notes
From the favourite Champagne house of Winston Churchill comes this beautifully golden straw yellow champagne. While not being overly fizzy or foamy this champagnes fine bubbles just keep sparkling. A bouquet of floral and ripe fruit aromas mesh well with its light oaky roasted aroma. Pol Roger Reserves rich vinous grapey flavour is thirst-quenching on the palate with a superb taste of brioche.
Other Notes
Pol Roger, with stocks of 6,5 million bottles representing some five years supply, is among the smaller of the great Champagne houses, but ranks with the very highest in terms of prestige and an uncompromising reputation for quality. Its remains proudly independent, one of a very select band of Grandes Marques still remaining in family hands. The company owns some 85 hectares of vineyards on prime sites in the Vallee d'Epernay and on the Cote des Blancs, drawing the remainder of its supplies from individual growers, many of whom have supplied Pol Roger for generations. Its cellars, extending to some 7 Km, lie on three levels in the chalk below Epernay and are among the coolest and deepest in the region: contributing no doubt to the excellent, persistent mousse of small bubbles which distinguished all Pol Roger Champagnes.Customers who bought this item also considered
