Tasting Notes

Coming from the famous vineyard of Chateau Petit Village in the heart of the Pomerol appellation, le Jardin de Petit Village is made Exclusively with Merlot. The wine has aged in French oak barrels for 12 months. The result is an elegant, round wine with aromas of violets and red fruits.

Other Notes

Legend has it that the knights and ‘Frères Hospitaliers’ of Saint John of Jerusalem were the first to cultivate the vine in Pomerol. It appears that during the gallo-roman period, the region was essentially planted with orchards. The name of ‘Pomerol’ comes from the latin Pomarius, apple orchard. Viticulture was developed in Pomerol from the 19th Century onwards and above all during the 20th Century. The vineyard of Petit-Village is situated at the highest level of the gravel plateau which constitutes the heart of Pomerol, as you leave the village of Catusseau.
