| Very dark red almost black colour. The nose give a lot of intensity, jammy red bursts with red plum aromas. The palate is full, intense, rich, sweet with a lot of soft tannines and a goed balance between sweetness and alcohol. Very lingering finish, robust and sweet. |

| In 1926, Messias Baptista set up Messias, he was director until 1973 but management of the company is still in the hands of his family. The company is currently under the guidance of Messias Pedro Soares Baptista. Messias make quality Port wines using grapes from the regions Dão, Bairrada, Douro, Vinho Verde, bey race, terrace do Sado and Vinho do Porto. |
