| Very dark red almost black colour.
The nose gives a lot of intensity, jammy red bursts with red plum aromas.
The palate is full, intense, rich, sweet with a lot of soft tannins and a
good balance between sweetness and alcohol.
Very lingering finish, robust and sweet.

| Joao Henrique Andresen was born on the 29th January 1826 on the island of Fohr in the North Sea. At the age of 14, like many other Danes, he travelled to Port, his first destination and soon to be his last. After falling in love with the charm of the place, he decided to adopt the portugese nationality, where he stayed and began a new life. In 1845 the young entrepreneur began the painstaiking task of founding the “Maison de Porto” which still carries his name. After his death he left behind the memory of an incredibly honest, passionate man. |
