| The Belland Puligny is a wine of great finesse, concentration and raciness. The estates half-hectare of Puligny-Montrachet lies in the lieu-dit known as La Rue aux Vaches, just below Les Pucelles. The vines are 50 years old and are planted on a limestone-clay soil with a strong presence of white marl. The wine ferments in tank and in barrel and is entirely aged in barrels, of which 20% are new oak. Bottling takes place after about 14 months; an average of 250 cases are produced annually. |

| 1996 marked a milestone in the history of the Belland family holdings as Adrien Belland officially retired and the domaine continues today under the leadership of Jean-Claude Belland. Adreien and Jean-Claude have been working together for many years and have developed their wines towards a richer, less tannic style over the last few years by not filtering most of the wines. Their holdings range from Santenay to Chambertin and the wines are all of exceptional quality. |
