| Concentrated fruit aromas with blackberry and intense blackcurrant flavours. Well structured and offering real power in the mouth, this wine will be ready to drink after 2008. |

Situated in the district of Listrac-Médoc, the vineyard occupies a privileged position on the hills of Puy de Menjon, the highest point in Médoc. The average age of the vines is 30 years old and the growing is traditional.
The vineyard of Château Lestage dates back to the Gallo-Roman period, but the château itself was only constructed during the 19th century. This superb model of Napoleon the 3rd architecture is the work of the architect Garros. Marcel Chanfreau purchased this domaine in 1963. Today, his work is being continued by his grandchildren, Jean Chanfreau and his wife, Marie-Hélène, as well as his sister, Caroline Chanfreau-Philippon. |
