| Château Dartigues was restored in 1734 for the Marquise d'Alphonse,
who was famous in the region for her numerous feasts. Her campaign to
enhance and lay out the ten hectare park that surrounds the château can still be seen today from the beautiful gardens. An ornamental terrace overlooks the valley providing a magnificent view. In the same year the Marquise built a fountain which still produces natural spring water, now known as the source. |
