| The Casanova family have been making wines in Chile since 1898. The reserva Carmenere is something a bit different from them and has a touch of spice on the palate. Aged in oak for 10 months it is full of dark fruit flavours and aromas. |

Coming from the north of Italy, the first members of the Casanova family arrived in Chile at the end of the XIX century, their purpose was to continue the noble tradition for producing high quality wine, the same prominent wines they had been growing in Italy for generations. To achieve this goal, Eliseo Casanova acquired the "Batuco" and "Valle Hermoso" farms in the Itata valley where he fulfilled his dreams. Years later, his son Aldo, attracted by the exceptional climate conditions for the vinegrowing in the Maule region, bought the "Purísima Ranch" where he introduced French cepage. In 1976, after Mr. Aldo Casanova Pozza passed away, his son Hugo took charge of the direction of the family company, since then the vineyard has had great success with its excellent range of wines.
